FWISD Child Nutrition Services
Fort Worth, Texas - Children need healthy meals to learn. Each day the Fort Worth ISD’s Child Nutrition Services prepares thousands of healthy breakfast and lunchtime meals. Depending on a family’s situation, children may qualify for free or reduced-price meals.
Currently, 96 schools participate in the Community Eligibility Provision program which allows all students to eat at no cost. A list of participating schools is available on the CNS webpage. Every school year the District sends a Letter to Households explaining the cost of meals, who is eligible for free, or reduced-price meals, how to apply and other important information. A copy of that letter is included with this release.
For the 2019-2020 school year meal prices are:
Reduced Breakfast - $.00
Paid Breakfast $.75
Secondary Lunch $2.50
Elementary Lunch $1.50
Reduced Lunch $.40
As a convenience to parents, applications can be completed online. Additionally, for those students who qualify for the regularly priced meals, arrangements can be made to pay in advance through SodexoMyWay. This is an easy and convenient way to make sure lunch money doesn’t get lost.
