FWISD Recognizes Over 500 Graduates As Superintendent Scholars

More than 540 Fort Worth ISD graduating seniors will proudly accept their diplomas this month wearing a stole designating them as a Superintendent Scholar for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The Superintendent’s Scholars program acknowledges students who’ve been recognized as:

  • National Merit Semi-Finalists and Commended, National Hispanic Scholars
  • FWISD African American Scholars
  • AP, AP with Honor, AP with Distinction, National AP
  • Dual Credit, Dual Credit with Honor, Dual Credit with Distinction, Dual Credit with Gold Distinction
  • International Baccalaureate students
  • Capstone Award students
  • OnRamps, OnRamps with Honor, OnRamps with Distinction, OnRamps with Gold Distinction

Individual high schools hosted award ceremonies earlier this spring recognizing their 2020-2021 Superintendent Scholars honorees.

Being selected for these distinguished honors places the students in the top academic echelon of the District. In addition to the stole, each scholar receives a recognition certificate.
