FWISD Honors Superintendent Scholars
The Fort Worth Independent School District honored 464 students as Superintendent Scholars during two special ceremonies on Monday, October 29 and Tuesday, October 30 at the I.M. Terrell Academy for STEM and VPA.
Superintendent’s Scholars include students recognized as:
- National Merit Semi-Finalists and Commended, National Achievements, National Hispanic
- FWISD African-American Scholars,
- AP, AP with Honor, AP with Distinction, National AP
- International Baccalaureate students
- Capstone Award students
- Honored teachers
Attending the ceremonies were Superintendent Kent P. Scribner, School Board Members, Chief of Academics Charles Carroll, Executive Director of College and Career Readiness David Saenz, principals, parents and other school officials.
Being selected for these distinguished honors places the students in the top academic echelon of the District. Each scholar received a recognition certificate as well as a stole to be worn as part of the student’s graduation regalia in June.
