STAAR Scores are Directly Accessible via the TEA website

The TEA has announced that the release of the May 2022 State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) grades 3–8 student results in the family and analytic portals are being delayed from the previous plan of Friday, June 24.

Results are now tentatively scheduled to be available July 1 in the family and analytic portals.

FWISD will share the state's updated timeline on our website and social media channels as soon as it is available.

Upon release, Fort Worth ISD students and parents can access their student's STAAR scores and learn ways to provide additional support at home by visiting www.TexasAssessment.gov. A student's unique access code is required to access the scores.

To locate a student's six-digit unique access code:

1. Login to the FWISD's Parent Portal at www.fwisd.org/parentportal, click on the child's name, then click on Child Info from the dropdown menu (see image)

Parent Portal view

OR

2. Look on the student's paper STAAR Report Card from a previous year's test administration;

OR

3. Use the Lookup unique access code feature at www.TexasAssessment.gov (the student's social security number or state ID number* is required).

*a state-approved alternate ID number assigned to a child either because a Social Security number is not available or the parent chose not to release a Social Security number.

For additional assistance locating a student's access code, parents may contact their school beginning July 25.

Once logged in, the STAAR results include a detailed breakdown of each subject, identifying the student's strengths and areas where they may need additional support.

The STAAR test taken in the spring is one of many ways to measure student learning. The data also assists teachers and parents in developing plans to jumpstart next year's learning and help students succeed.
