FWISD Celebrates Employees with Service Recognition Awards

The Fort Worth ISD values its team members' commitment and dedication. To show its appreciation, 40,000 items, including pins, tumblers, backpacks, and plaques, have been awarded to District employees this week.

Employees received the awards based on their number of years of service, emphasizing 1, 5, 10, and 20-year milestones. The awards were presented to each employee by their campus leaders or department head.

The Fort Worth Independent School District is home to over 10,000 full-time employees, the average of which has 10 years of internal service.

"We are proud to honor those achieving career milestones, whether this is their year 1, 5, 10, or 20+, for their integral contributions to continued student success," said Chief Talent Officer Raul Peña. "District employees can anticipate receiving these symbols of our sincere appreciation during May. We thank all employees for their commitment to the students of Fort Worth ISD!"

The 40,000 awards were organized and distributed by the District's Talent Management team. The carefully-executed operation began in late April and included five days allocated for daily pick up at 25-40 Districtwide locations.

Congratulations to all the award recipients!
