Students from Dolores Huerta Elementary School competed in the second annual Math Bee.
“Our goal of the Elementary Math Bee is to provide our younger students a positive experience with mathematics. We want our students and community members to realize that mathematics can provide a wealth of possibilities and opportunities,” said Shannon Hernandez, FWISD mathematics literacy director. “We hope that this competition will continue to foster students’ mathematical interest and skills.”
Juan Pablo, a fifth grade student, won the Dolores Huerta Math Bee and participated in the district's Math Bee.
The District's Math Bee was held on Saturday, January 18 at O. D. Wyatt High School.
