Summit Aims to Build Relationships Between District, Youth Sports Leaders
What: Fort Worth Youth Leadership Summit

Summary: The Fort Worth ISD Athletics Department is launching its inaugural Fort Worth Youth Leadership Summit, a gathering of District and youth sports leaders from across the city.
The event is set for 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Wilkerson-Greines Activity Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd. Superintendent Kent P. Scribner is slated to attend and welcome guests.
Todd Vesely, FWISD’s executive director of athletics, said the summit puts a spotlight on the vital relationship between the District and youth sports.
“We wish to reinforce the combined impact we have on our city and to form and strengthen relationships. This is an opportunity to strengthen cooperation,” Coach Vesely said. “This is a unique opportunity to gather leaders together. We want to share ideas and concerns. We are taking a first step toward finding solutions to our challenges and increasing the positive impact sports has on our city.”
