FWISD Elementary Enrichment Showcase Set for April 6
Fort Worth ISD’s Advanced, Accelerated and Innovative Learning Department is hosting its annual Enrichment Showcase on Friday, April 6.
Elementary students identified by the District as gifted and talented will present long-term projects they’ve created throughout the current school year to the community. The exhibition will include two projects from each FWISD elementary campus.
The showcase will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Wilkerson Greines Athletic Center, 5201 C.A. Roberson Blvd.
According to showcase organizers, the event offers students an opportunity to present their projects to outside audiences, and it allows the community an opportunity to view some of the things being taught in FWISD classrooms.
“In everything that we do in our Talent Pool Pull-out classes, we must ensure that students are involved in authentic, engaging experiences that allow for critical thinking and problem solving,” said Tyler Dean, elementary advanced academics coordinator.
“It is imperative that they not only have the opportunity to create, but the opportunity to share their work.”
For more details, contact Mr. Dean, elementary advanced academics coordinator, at 817-814-2580 or via email tyler.dena@fwisd.org.
