FWISD Paschal Students Take Part in First Annual Quinceañera
Students at Fort Worth ISD Paschal High School recently took part in the first annual Paschal Quinceañera. The event was hosted by the Paschal Hispanic Society, which aimed to unite and educate students at Paschal about the history and culture of Latin American countries.
The Panther Quinceañera allowed one student who was not able to have a traditional quinceañera last year due to COVID-19 restrictions a chance to have a quinceañera with her friends. The Paschal Mariachi and the Ballet Folclórico Azteca school took part in the quinceañera to add to the festivities.
In an effort to maintain and educate students on Latin American traditions, the Paschal Hispanic Society has hosted several traditional events this year, including the Panther Quinceañera and a Day of the Dead ceremony. These events allowed Hispanic students to take part in traditions from their culture, while also teaching other students about Latin American heritage.
The first annual Paschal Panther Quinceañera was made possible thanks to donations from Don Goyo Bakery, Mr. Swanson, Mrs. Prather, and Mr. Jose Diaz.
