After School Program: Careers in the Medical Field
Posted by GCC Cougars on 2/26/2019
We had a fascinating afternoon learning about different careers in the medical field while also learning how to take care of our bodies. We learned how to pronounce the word stethoscope and how to properly use one, how to test your reflexes, what is a pulse and how do you measure it, and most importantly, how to correctly wash our hands. The black light that was utilized to show us if we had done a thorough job was an eye-opening experience. We vowed to do a better job at washing our hands to stop the spreading of germs. Thank you UNT Health Science Students for coming out and showing us how interesting a job in healthcare can be as well as how to keep ourselves healthy!
