District 9-4A Track & Field Championship Results

On Thursday, the boys and girls junior varsity track team competed in the District 9-4A Track and Field Championships at Clark Stadium. Both teams did an awesome job of representing Western Hills HS with nine personal records set. The junior varsity girls team finished 3rd in the team standings, scoring 50 points, and the junior varsity boys finished as runner-ups in the team standings, scoring 135 points.

Junior Varsity Boys Results: 
Shot Put - Dominic Salazar 1st place, setting a personal record with a throw of 39' 2"; Love Willis 3rd place; Tarodrick Gray 6th place
Discus - Tarodrick Gray 5th place
Long Jump - Brycen Foster 2nd place, setting a personal record with a jump of 17' 8.5"; Malik El-Amin 5th place
Triple Jump - Malik El-Amin 5th place; Kyu Wilson 6th place
High Jump - Malik El-Amin 3rd place; Brycen Foster 4th place; Xavier McIntyre 6th place
3200-meter run - Daniel Prince 2nd place, setting a personal record with a time of 12:13.89; Iggy Singleton 6th place
1600-meter run - Iggy Singleton in 6th place, setting a personal record with a time of 6:14.56
800-meter run - Alexander Richmond in 4th place, setting a personal record with a time of 2:36.92
400-meter dash - Brycen Foster 2nd place
200-meter dash - Xavier Richmond in 3rd place, setting a personal record with a time of 24.59
100-meter dash - Love Willis 1st place; Michael Richmond 4th place
110-meter hurdles - Kyu Wilson 3rd place
4 x 100-meter relay - (Nick Henry, Love Willis, Brycen Foster, and Xavier Richmond) 2nd place
